Commodity Chemicals

We have concentrated our marketing activities in the fields of sulphur, sulphuric acid and methanol as well as biofuels in solvadis commodity chemicals gmbh. This business sector, with an international focus and high volumes is operated centrally from our Frankfurt headquarters. For our customers within the fields of industrial chemicals, gas, mineral oil and metal mining we are a reliable partner when it comes to international marketing and logistics relating to sulphur and sulphuric acid. Our service functions are supported by our own terminal in Belgium with a capacity of some 50,000 tonnes. In Kelheim we operate our own production plant for sulphuric acid in various concentrations.

We are also major suppliers of methanol: we operate between large-scale global suppliers and major European customers. Through our own sales network of European suppliers we can supply smaller customers at a national and regional level. Our expertise in the field of basic chemicals also makes us a reliable partner in the marketing of biofuels. We act as agents for major European producers of biofuels and carry out long-term marketing contracts on their behalf.
